Founded by two foodie MDs, our love for great-tasting vegan food and optimal nutrition is obvious. Our hand-crafted organic, vegan “meats” are made from walnuts, hazelnuts, whole grains, seeds, spices, & more. We use clean ingredients, no added oil, and lower sodium (1 mg sodium to 1 calorie— truly healthy).

Meet the Founders!

Dr. Monica Randles and Dr. Andrew Maternowski were dedicated locavores; after their children Isabel and Nicholas watched Food Inc in 2010, they announced they were vegetarian from that day forward. As physicians with teenagers, Andrew and Monica sought a healthy, fulfilling meat alternative to recreate our favorite dishes. We crafted a tree nut, brown rice and quinoa based ground “meat” that is made from whole foods, healthy and satisfying. Our products are gluten-free, soy-free, and filler-free.
